Bairro Alto ★
This area has several bars, nightclubs, discos, terraces, and many people walking around. It is known for being one of the trendiest zones to spend the night at and have fun, here you will definitely have a good time with your friends and probably you will get to know new people.
Normally, this is frequented by people with ages between 15 and 39 years old, so it can be considered a youthful people.
The bars in this zone normally close around 2 a.m.

Santos-o-Velho
This neighbourhood has been rising its fame in the past few years, since teenagers started going there at night. It has bars and nightclubs in every corner of the street, and it is always full of people, especially on the 'Santos Populares' nights. These are on 12 and 13 of June, but normally extend to more days, and it is a festive night in each the Portuguese people celebrate Saint Anthony (Santo António). On these days, Santos is always full of people of all ages, and it is definitely an incredible way of experiencing the Portugal traditions and culture.

Cais do Sodré
This is the place to go to stay up all night, starting on a bar and finishing on a discotheque or on the river seeing the sunrise.
One of the reasons why this is so famous, is the Pink Street (Rua Cor-de-Rosa). This street is now where every teenager spends its night at, since it has many, many bars.
Many people start their night at Bairro Alto and then when it starts closing, they come down to Cais do Sodré to spend the rest of the night.
